Zoho Unveils Enterprise-Grade AI Stack

Zia LLM, ASR Models, and Model Context Protocol
May 2024 — Zoholics India Press Conference
“This is not ChatGPT and this is not a consumer grade LLM,”
Ramprakash Ramamoorthy, Director of AI Research at Zoho and ManageEngine
At the recent Zoholics India Press Conference, Indian software giant Zoho announced a major leap in enterprise AI with the introduction of its proprietary AI stack. This comprehensive suite includes the in-house Zia Large Language Model (LLM), advanced Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) models, and a new Model Context Protocol (MCP) server—each designed to power the next generation of intelligent business tools.

Zia LLM: Enterprise-Ready Intelligence

The Zia LLM is available in 1.3B, 2.6B, and 7B parameter sizes, each trained specifically for Zoho’s business use cases. Unlike generic models, Zia is optimized for both structured and unstructured data, ensuring privacy, cost-efficiency, and seamless integration with Zoho’s suite of applications.

Automatic Speech Recognition for India

Zoho’s new ASR models support both English and Hindi, boasting up to 75% better performance than standard benchmarks. With plans to expand to 15 Indian languages, these models are optimized for low-resource environments, making AI-powered voice solutions more accessible across the country.

Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server

The new MCP server enables Zoho’s AI agents to collaborate and share context, unlocking advanced workflows and inter-agent communication. This Agent2Agent (A2A) protocol is a step toward more dynamic, interconnected AI systems within the Zoho ecosystem.

Infrastructure-First, AI-Driven

CEO Mani Vembu highlighted Zoho’s unique approach:
“We built the AI layer, we built the search layer, we want to build all the tools, all the infrastructure so that we can optimise on cost and accuracy.”

25+ AI Agents and Counting

Zoho has already launched over 25 AI agents, including tools for verifying PAN, Voter ID, GSTIN, and more. These agents are designed to automate critical business processes and ensure compliance, while the A2A protocol allows them to work together for even greater efficiency.

Conclusion

With its new AI stack, Zoho is not just following the AI trend—it’s building a robust, enterprise-grade foundation for the future of business automation in India and beyond.
